Courier Rush
Milan, after dark. You've got a scooter, ninety seconds, and an app that decides what you're worth.
Ride to the amber beacon to pick up. Ride to the teal one to deliver. Every drop buys back more time than it costs you, so a good shift pays for its own clock — and delivering again quickly stacks a combo up to ×8.
The app is watching
Hot food and clean riding push your star rating up. Cold food drags it down, and flattening a pedestrian files a safety complaint that craters it — the fine comes out of your cash, not the platform's.
The rating isn't decoration. It does two things at once: it sets how generously customers tip you, and it picks your next job. Ride high and you get short, close pickups from people who tip well. Fall low and you get sent across town on an unpaid ride just to reach the restaurant — which makes the food harder to land hot, which drops your rating again.
That's the spiral. It's the whole game.
Milan at 240p
The city is real-scale — about 4.5 km of the centre of Milan, modelled and lit for dusk. It renders through a late-90s PlayStation pipeline: a 240p framebuffer scaled up with no filtering, vertices snapped to whole pixels, 15-bit dithered colour, flat lighting, no dynamic shadows, scanlines. Press F in-game to toggle it off and see the clean render underneath.
Trams run the real Milan tram lines and share the road with you. The rails won't stop you, but riding them bleeds your grip and rattles the bike. Getting boxed onto the tracks with a tram coming is the intended way to die.

Brands, restaurants and couriers are fictional. Any resemblance to the actual economics of food delivery work is the point.
